I was provided free Kilner Jars from Pacific Merchants in exchange for this post.
I remember growing up both my grandmas and my mom had jars of dry goods and flours sitting on the counter and they were used daily. My grandma also loved canning and making jams. I really miss her jams! Now as a mom with a kitchen of my own I have the same timeless look in my kitchen with Kilner Jars for canning and storage!
Just in the past couple years my family made the switch to eating organic and Non-GMO foods. To save money I started buying organic foods in bulk. Kilner Jars are perfect for storing all my dry goods like beans, rice, oats, sugars, flours, pasta and more! Not only are they great for storage but they are great decorative pieces in my kitchen. Even my husband, who cares nothing about decor, commented that he like the way they looked on the counter; it reminded him of his nanny’s kitchen!
I have not ventured into canning yet but I plan on trying soon. I think I will try one of my grandma’s jam recipes! When I do start canning and making jam I will be using the high quality and trusted Kilner brand.
Why Chose Kilner Jars: (info from Pacific Merchants Trading Company website)
The Kilner brand is a British brand that has a rich history that dates back over 150 years to the 1840s. Kilner jars have been the go-to canning and preserving jars for many generations of families from the UK and all over Europe. In fact, the term “Kilner Jar” is a generic name for any jar, just like “Mason Jar” in the United States!
Because of their history and their high quality, Kilner Jars are considered the premier glass jars for the discerning cook. A Kilner glass jar is made from luxury, bubble free glass, a solid metal lid and stainless steel clip, which is easy to use and incredibly durable.
The Kilner range offers more than just jars for canning, but also a one-stop-shop for all the accessories you could possibly need for canning recipes and preserving. The Kilner range also features glass containers that are perfect for home storage. Kilner also offers recipes for canning, food storage tips, and “how to can” guides.
Kilner jars can be used for everything from storage to drinking glasses to crafting and best of all they’re glass, BPA free and eco-friendly! They make great gifts and can be used for DIY Jar gifts too!
I LOVE my Kilner jars. They are made to last the test of time and are made with high quality materials. The jars feature the embossed Kilner logo on the front and the base, which gives a vintage look and feel.
The Kilner clip-top jar is a tried-and-true favorite featuring a glass lid with metal clip and rubber ring, which makes for easy sealing and opening. They are ideal for preserving your fruit and vegetables but also work great for home organization and storage.
The Kilner push top storage collection is perfect for storing pasta, rice and lentils. It’s practical design locks in freshness with the air tight seal.
I know that if I take good care of my Kilner Jars they can last for generations! I hope my future grandchildren will fondly remember their Grandma Amber’s kitchen and the Kilner Jars on her counter!
