This applesauce cake recipe was given to me by my husband’s grandmother. She use to make this cake for him when he was little and he always loved it.

Since he has to eat Gluten Free now it has been along time since he had it.  I asked her for the recipe and only had to subsitute the flour for gluten-free flour. The cake turned out great and my husband was so happy! My son’s love this cake too, both versions!

Love this recipe! Just made it for the second time. This time I cut the oil in half and used 1/2 plain greek yogurt- looks great and excited to see how it turns out!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I used white rice flour/corn flour to make the 2 cups and added a cup of quick oats and some raisins… Yum!

I tried this recipe. It was very good. I made one change, I used the microwave. I measured them into baking cups and micro @ power 9 for 70 secs.. Just a thought for the unusual weather. Good Luck!

Can I use regular sweetened applesauce or would it be too sweet? Also, can I use splenda instead of sugar?
